Working Together

Now that Audrey is on the move, John's world has been turned upside down. The sweet infant girl that he loved to kiss and hug on and he would do anything to make her smile or laugh has now become a moving, grabbing, screaming baby that always wants what he has! It has been a rough transition for all involved. John is learning that he has to share or can no longer play with certain toys on the floor because little hands are bound to find them and then make their way into her mouth. Audrey is learning that she can't ALWAYS have what she wants, although I don't think she has that down yet, and I'm learning how to appease a screaming toddler and infant when they both can't get their way. It has been a rough couple of weeks and I know that there are many years of sibling revelry ahead of us. So you may understand the dilemma I faced when i walked into the living room yesterday and found this......

At first I started to get upset, because this is a daily battle with John. He KNOWS he's not aloud to play with the movies and whenever he gets into them he always gets into trouble. But then another thought hit me. WOW... They are playing together, and no body's screaming. And a small part of me was happy to see them interacting so peacefully. However, I do believe that John knew exactly what he was doing, he figured as long as he wasn't pulling the movies off the shelf he couldn't get in trouble. Yes, he's sneaky already! After watching the little trouble makers for a few minutes I let them know they got caught...

By the way John doesn't always run around in just underwear, but he has lost interest in potty training once again..(GRRR) And as long as he has a diaper on he wont tell me he needs to go or had gone for the mater. So I let him run around in underwear because he hates when he has an accident in them! Here's to hoping he catches on to the whole potty business soon!
