I don't know if the differences come from one being a boy and the other girl, or if it's a 1 st born 2 nd born thing; but my children are as different as night and day. John was a very happy and easy going baby. He loved anyone who showed him attention, and very quickly become a ham. I believe in schedules for children and John fell very easily into the Growing Kids God's Way Schedule, he was a by the book kinda baby. Even to this day, despite that fact that we are going through the typical 2 year old trials...John is still a pretty easy going guy who LOVES attention...and is more of a show off than ever before.
Then there is Audrey, she wants to do things her way. I have used the same schedule with her and it has been a trial...Every time I think we have it all smoothed out she likes to mix it up again...which leads to a very stressful couple of days until mom can settle her into a new schedule. Because Audrey does do much better on a schedule she just wants to make the rules! Audrey has more of a quite personality, she is more than happy to let her brother be the center of attention and she is content to just sit with mom and snug, she LOVES to snug! However, she is a bit of a mama's girl..by the time John was 7 months old I was able to leave him with a babysitter and go out with no worries, But Audrey is another story. The only person I have been able to leave her with is Grandma Wright and know that she's not going to cry the entire time I'm gone. Which has lead to a very stressed out mama! Over all Audrey still is a good baby, she does sleep through the night and goes down with no problems, as long as she is on her schedule and knows where her mama is she is content through out the day and she is an excellent eater.
Needless to say I had no idea I could have two children that had such opposite personalities, and I am still learning how to meet the needs of both personality types. A little applause and praise for my little guy, and lots of hugs and kisses for my clingy baby girl :)

Getting Started
I am new to the blogging world, but have been reading many of my friends blogs and believe it will be a fun way to keep everyone up to date with what's going on with my little clan!
As you may now I am the mother of 2 beautiful children...who some times drive me crazy, but I love them all the same:) What you may not now is that 4 months before my wedding i found out I had endometrosis and had a very large tumor growing on my ovaries and uterus. I was very fearful the children would not be in my future. 2 months before my wedding i underwent surgery to have the tumor removed and was told by the Dr. that he thought i would still be able to have children but thought it may be a difficult process. Our original plan was to wait a year or two before trying to have children but after all this we decided that we wouldn't take any steps toward preventing pregnancy because we figured it would take us a while anyway...well 3 months after we were married we got pregnant! So on August 12Th 2007 exactly 1 week before our 1st anniversary and the day before my husbands birthday we welcomed John Anthony to our family. I know it's a BUSY week for us!
well i enjoyed having a baby soooo much that as my little man's 1st birthday was approaching i started getting baby fever again...and much to my surprise my husband wasn't far behind! So again we stop using precautions..this time it didn't happen as fast and the more i thought about it...the more i started to think i wasn't so sure i was really ready to have 2 babies! Or rather 1 baby and one very active toddler. Well the month i changed my mind...guess what?!?! Yep...I was pregnant. Once i got over the initial shock and accepted the fact the my & my little boy's world was about to change in a big way within the next 10 months ( or so I thought). When we went to our first appointment, we where in for even a bigger shock..there was not only 1 but 2! I did not handle this news very well...i couldn't imagine how i was going to handle twins and a 1 and a half year old.. However, by the time we went to our next appointment baby number 2 was gone...It's what they call disappearing twin syndrome. I will admit i had conflicting emotions i was relieved, but a little part of my was disappointed. From there things went smoothly until Easter Sunday, i was only 30 weeks pregnant and the night ended up in the hospital because of slight leaking of the amniotic fluid....i was given steroid shots and put on medication to prevent any further contractions, and put on bed rest for the next 6 weeks!!!!! This was a very trying time for me...up until now I did everything for my son and had never spent the night away from him so having to stay in the hospital the 1st 2 nights i was an emotional mess because i felt that the first time John spent the night away from me should have been planed and not just happened...needless to say he survived with out mom:) We also made it through the 6 weeks thanks to our families...my mom or sisters made the 1 hr drive down and back every day during the week to take care of John and myself so that Aaron could continue to work..and when they couldn't be here Aaron's mom was...Thank God for family:) Once i was off bed rest we expected Audrey to make an appearance at any time...well she changed her mind! 2 weeks went by with no baby and this time I ended back up in the hospital with kidney stones...OUCH! Now wouldn't you think being 38 weeks pregnant with a baby that we thought was going to make an appearance 8 weeks earlier would defiantly make her debut during this time! No, not Audrey she likes doing the unexpected. I ended up being induced a week and a half later so my Dr could deliver her before he went on vacation! So on June 17 th we welcomed Audrey Janell to our growing family!
Although it has been a bumpy ride I adore my children and thank God every day for them. Because at one time i feared I wouldn't have them, and now i can't imagine my life with out them!
